The first of those is the meteorological summer which runs from the start of June and ends in August.\u00a0 The second is the astronomical summer, which is worked out by determining when the sun appears to reach its most northerly or southerly excursion relative to the equator. This is known as a solstice and this year it will fall on June 21.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Summer is one of my favourite times of year for mixing all the lovely <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bonapp.menu\/en\/whats-in-season-in-june\/\"><u>vegetables and fruits in season<\/u><\/a>\u00a0in fresh salads and using them in exciting ways like in my Tomato Tatin recipe from this week\u2019s menu.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Next week\u2019s meal plan is available for you now and we can officially celebrate the start of summer on Friday with fish and\u00a0chips for National Fish and Chips Day![\/vc_column_text][vc_separator][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Monday<span style=\"color: #000000;\">: Fried egg on spring vegetable ratatouille<\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;12468&#8243; img_size=&#8221;1024&#215;512&#8243; onclick=&#8221;custom_link&#8221; link=&#8221;https:\/\/www.bonapp.menu\/admin-ace\/menu-fiche-recette.php?id=153&#8243;][vc_column_text]I\u2019ve heard many people say that the correct way to make a ratatouille is to cook the different vegetable separately before combining and then cooking slowly until they reach a smooth consistency.\u00a0 My way is much quicker and easy for a busy weeknight, chop the vegetables into very small dices and then cook them all together so that they quickly reach that perfect smooth consistency![\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Tuesday<\/span>: Chicken Caesar salad<\/h4>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;12470&#8243; img_size=&#8221;1024&#215;512&#8243; onclick=&#8221;custom_link&#8221; link=&#8221;https:\/\/www.bonapp.menu\/admin-ace\/menu-fiche-recette.php?id=154&#8243;][vc_column_text]You can\u2019t beat a classic Caesar salad when it\u2019s starting to feel like summer.\u00a0 Rumour has it that the original Caesar salad didn\u2019t contain anchovies but was made with Worcester sauce.\u00a0 You can use fish sauce as an alternative if you don\u2019t have neither the anchovies nor the Worcester sauce![\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Wednesday<\/span>: Mexican red bean and pepper wraps<\/h4>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;12472&#8243; img_size=&#8221;1024&#215;512&#8243; onclick=&#8221;custom_link&#8221; link=&#8221;https:\/\/www.bonapp.menu\/admin-ace\/menu-fiche-recette.php?id=155&#8243;][vc_column_text]I\u2019ve opted for wheat tortillas in this Mexican wrap recipe.\u00a0 The origin of the wheat tortilla was Northern Mexico and this is why so many dishes are made with it like Quesadillas, Burritos, Chimichangas and Fajitas.
