{"id":12607,"date":"2018-05-31T08:14:02","date_gmt":"2018-05-31T06:14:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bonapp.menu\/?p=12607"},"modified":"2018-05-31T13:57:43","modified_gmt":"2018-05-31T11:57:43","slug":"weekly-meal-plan-4th-june-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bonapp.menu\/en\/weekly-meal-plan-4th-june-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"Weekly meal plan for 4th June 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=&#8221;12609&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_column_text]Friday 8<sup>th<\/sup> June is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldoceansday.org\/\">World Ocean day<\/a>, which is an opportunity to honour, help protect and conserve the world\u2019s oceans.\u00a0 The ocean is important because it:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regulates our climate<\/li>\n<li>Generates most of the oxygen we breathe<\/li>\n<li>Cleans the water we drink<\/li>\n<li>Helps feed us<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This year, the theme is preventing plastic pollution and encouraging solutions for a healthy ocean.\u00a0 The organisers are encouraging us all to stop using single use plastic bags, straws and bottles.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve recently written a blog post with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bonapp.menu\/en\/ways-to-help-reduce-plastic-pollution\/\"><u>ways to help reduce plastic pollution<\/u><\/a>.\u00a0 One of the tips in the post is to use reusable shopping bags and produce bags.\u00a0 Previously, Amanda and I hadn\u2019t been using reusable produce bags and had been using the bags for vegetables and fruits that are provided by the supermarkets.\u00a0 Some of the supermarkets use biodegradable bags for produce but there are others that use a mixture of paper and plastic and we aren\u2019t sure if they biodegradable or not.\u00a0 So, Amanda bought some reusable produce bags and has been testing them.\u00a0 She has written this <u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bonapp.menu\/en\/my-experience-with-reusable-produce-bags\/\">blog post about her experience of using reusable produce bags<\/a>.<\/u><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To celebrate <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldoceansday.org\/\">World Ocean day<\/a>, I have included a sea bream on a bed of lemon fennel recipe in this week\u2019s meal plan.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Monday<span style=\"color: #000000;\">: Sea bream fillet parcel on a bed of lemon fennel<\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;12611&#8243; img_size=&#8221;1024&#215;512&#8243; onclick=&#8221;custom_link&#8221; link=&#8221;https:\/\/www.bonapp.menu\/admin-ace\/menu-fiche-recette.php?id=158&#8243;][vc_column_text]Fennel is one of my favourite vegetables and I love to eat it raw as a snack as I just can&#8217;t get enough of the aniseed flavour. I love this dish because the fennel isn&#8217;t cooked too much so keeps its flavour and crunch. Plus, the lemon adds a nice bit of a zing. I hope you enjoy my sea bream fillet on a bed of lemon fennel.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Tuesday<\/span>: Couscous and grilled vegetable salad<\/h4>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;12613&#8243; img_size=&#8221;1024&#215;512&#8243; onclick=&#8221;custom_link&#8221; link=&#8221;https:\/\/www.bonapp.menu\/admin-ace\/menu-fiche-recette.php?id=159&#8243;][vc_column_text]This salad is packed with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bonapp.menu\/en\/whats-in-season-in-june\/\"><u>vegetables in season in June<\/u><\/a>; courgette, aubergine and deliciously sweet red pepper.\u00a0 Plus, it is also suitable for anyone following a vegetarian or vegan diet.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Wednesday<\/span>: Chicken Pad Thai<\/h4>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;12615&#8243; img_size=&#8221;1024&#215;512&#8243; onclick=&#8221;custom_link&#8221; link=&#8221;https:\/\/www.bonapp.menu\/admin-ace\/menu-fiche-recette.php?id=160&#8243;][vc_column_text]I have to admit that I might be slightly obsessed with Thailand and Thai food. I&#8217;ve backpacked Thailand five times so far and could easily go another five times! Tonight&#8217;s recipe from my meal plan is chicken pad Thai. With the thunderstorms and warm weather we&#8217;ve had this week, I can almost picture myself in Thailand in the rainy season&#8230;&#8230; I can&#8217;t wait to go back![\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Thursday<\/span>: Cured ham, peaches and mozzarella salad<\/h4>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;12617&#8243; img_size=&#8221;1024&#215;512&#8243; onclick=&#8221;custom_link&#8221; link=&#8221;https:\/\/www.bonapp.menu\/admin-ace\/menu-fiche-recette.php?id=161&#8243;][vc_column_text]I am loving mixing fruits with salads at the moment and these grilled peaches are so nicely caramelised that they are divine. They work super well with the mozzarella and cured ham in this salad.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Friday<\/span>: Lamb chops with potatoes, tomatoes and courgette gratin<\/h4>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;12619&#8243; img_size=&#8221;1024&#215;512&#8243; onclick=&#8221;custom_link&#8221; link=&#8221;https:\/\/www.bonapp.menu\/admin-ace\/menu-fiche-recette.php?id=162&#8243;][vc_column_text]My mum made a vegetable gratin (also known as a tian in French) this weekend whilst she was telling me that she was going to cook every meal from my meal plan this week. When I told her that it would mean that she&#8217;d be eating a vegetable gratin twice this week, she responded &#8220;I can eat tian all the time in summer!&#8221; She&#8217;s totally right (as Mum&#8217;s always are), a tian is a perfect summer vegetable dish for BBQs.
