{"id":4672,"date":"2017-03-26T16:47:51","date_gmt":"2017-03-26T14:47:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bonapp.menu\/?p=4672"},"modified":"2018-02-20T15:05:17","modified_gmt":"2018-02-20T14:05:17","slug":"happy-international-spinach-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bonapp.menu\/en\/happy-international-spinach-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Happy International Spinach Day!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s a weekend full of international food days!\u00a0 This time it\u2019s Popeye\u2019s favourite food, spinach.<\/p>\n<p>Did you know that during her reign as queen of France, Catherine de Medici was said to have enjoyed spinach so much that it was served at every meal.\u00a0 To this day, dishes made with spinach are given the name \u201cFlorentine\u201d reflecting Catherine\u2019s birth in Florence.<\/p>\n<p>Spinach is also known for being a healthy part of a balanced diet because it\u2019s packed with nutrients such as Iron, Vitamin A and Calcium but why does it leave that weird feeling on your teeth!\u00a0 Well Uncle Google reliable tells me that the effect is caused by the oxalic acid in the leaves and stems.\u00a0 There are lots of theories on the web about how to remove the \u201cSpinach teeth\u201d feeling but there doesn\u2019t seem to be agreement on what actually works.<\/p>\n<p>Personally, I love spinach and it\u2019s weird tooth feel so that\u2019s why the International Spinach Day inspired me to create this recipe &#8211; chicken stir-fry with spinach and rice.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1852 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bonapp.menu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Saute\u0301-poulet-e\u0301pinards_Chicken-stir-fry-spinach--300x201.jpg\" alt=\"Saute\u0301 Poulet E\u0301pinards Chicken Stir Fry Spinach\" width=\"834\" height=\"559\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bonapp.menu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Saute\u0301-poulet-e\u0301pinards_Chicken-stir-fry-spinach--300x201.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.bonapp.menu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Saute\u0301-poulet-e\u0301pinards_Chicken-stir-fry-spinach--600x401.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.bonapp.menu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Saute\u0301-poulet-e\u0301pinards_Chicken-stir-fry-spinach--768x514.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.bonapp.menu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Saute\u0301-poulet-e\u0301pinards_Chicken-stir-fry-spinach--1024x685.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 834px) 100vw, 834px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Chicken stir fry with spinach and rice<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Preparation time: 10 mins\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Total time: 20 mins\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Recipe for: 2 adults<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients :<\/p>\n<p>2 chicken breasts<\/p>\n<p>125g spinach<\/p>\n<p>120g rice<\/p>\n<p>1 clove of garlic<\/p>\n<p>1 tsp coriander powder<\/p>\n<p>1 tbsp soy sauce<\/p>\n<p>0.5 tbsp sesame seeds<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Steps<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Cook the rice. In a bowl, mix the chicken strips with the crushed garlic and the ground coriander.<\/li>\n<li>Fry the chicken strips in a frying pan for 5mins. Cook the spinach with the soya sauce in a saucepan with a lid for 3mins.
