I decided to start Bon App because I realised that my wife and I weren’t eating as healthy as we could be. We got into a rut of being too busy to plan what to cook and so we were relying on a few tried and tested favourite meals. Too many nights, we would come home from work late with no meal planned and so we gave in to easy recipes with little to no prep required. I felt like I had lost my passion for cooking new recipes and our dinners had become boring, repetitive and unhealthy.
Amanda (she’s the organised one) started to plan our meals and shopping list. She would get all our recipe books out and look for more dinner ideas online and then create a meal plan for the week ahead. We were eating better, saving money and wasting less but she found that it was taking too much time and effort, and that it was another job on top of everything else.
